I was born in 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, and grew up in the suburbs. At the age of 20, while studying at McGill, I moved downtown to be closer to school. I left the downtown area in 1999, taking an apartment with my future husband in a residential area in the middle of the island. Finally, in 2005, we bought a small cottage in a suburban area known as "The West Island." My husband passed away in 2015, but I have remained in the same house since then. April 2025 marked 20 years that I've been here.

While I've done a number of different jobs over the years, I am currently interested in exploring the world of writing, both fiction and non-fiction, in various formats. As a young child, one of my favorite activities was reading through dictionaries, which abounded in my book-filled home, and my well-worn personal copy of Roget's Thesaurus. (yes, I was an odd and rather solitary child.)
These days, one of my favorite ways to relax is doing crossword puzzles (I like The Globe & Mail's best), Wordle, and other word games.
